Duplex 2205 is the highest grade stainless steel available for hot water storage. Superior resistance to corrosion, pitting, and stress cracking — outperforming standard 316 stainless, and outlasting enamel tanks by decades in hard water conditions.
Enamel tanks require a magnesium anode replaced every 3–5 years or warranty is voided. The OMNI X stainless tank needs no anode — no maintenance costs, no inspection schedules, no tradespeople required just to keep the warranty valid.
