The Haier Monoblock uses R290 natural refrigerant — with a global warming potential 476 times lower than R134a — and heat pump technology to dramatically reduce hot water running costs. Heat pump technology delivers a 69–79% reduction in electricity used to heat the same volume of water compared to an electric resistance water heater. The Haier Monoblock runs only on electricity — no gas required.
Built-in Wi-Fi and the SmartHQ™ app let you select from five operating modes from anywhere. Adjust heating to lower-cost periods, minimise energy use on vacation, or prioritise solar energy to reduce grid draw when you have solar PV.
Eco mode includes Solar optimisation (PV) and time-of-use (HC) modes that receive signals from an energy management system. Alternatively, a built-in timer sets heating to low-cost periods — maximising self-consumption from your rooftop solar.
R290 has a global warming potential of just 3 — 476 times lower than R134a, which is still widely used in comparable heat pumps. A responsible choice that doesn’t compromise on efficiency or performance.
